Exercise 8: Current awareness post - Robot/ABDS system

The robot/ABDS system is amazing. There are four robots speeding up and down 50 feet to automatically fetch and deliver items required through its Virtual Browse interface.

n  It would free up the space and time at libraries, and patrons also don’t need to wait around for long time to pick up a book from stack.

n  The Virtual Browse sounds great, it works faster than scrolling through a shelf.

n  The books won’t be issuing and returning by librarians at libraries anymore, this would decrease OH&S injuries, and also it would free librarians to do more reference enquires and other services.

n  It is not good news that there is less job chance would be provided from libraries.DeleteDelete
